What kind of people are we breeding?

What kind of people we seem to be growing?  The recent gun shoot @ Connecticut make me wonder. Some believe it can all be curbed by a stricter control on guns, by passing a law, I wish it was so simple a law making it all set right.

It will have some positive impact but the malady which seems to affect our society is much deeper. All the gun law will do is an Adam Lanza (the shooter) will have to use knife instead of a gun, maybe the no of people killed will drop, but will it stop producing more Lanzas?

Some reports mention Adam Lanza's mother was a strict control freak, and that could have been one of the reasons besides the divorce which impacted Adam, I wonder if her Mother was to be assessed for being a good parent, do we have a good parenting law? I know it is funny, but I don't think there are any solution in controls we can put as laws, the real reason for what is happening around us is much deeper and complicated.

And it is not about the Connecticut, it is also about the Jacintha who killed herself, what made her so weak to commit suicide, why could her close and dear ones not give her a patient ear and helped her in life much earlier to be stronger,  it is also about the radio jockey of Australia, what has made them to be so rude and insensitive that poor Jacintha was at the receiving end?

We may lament about the developed world and their lack of religion or values but India is not behind, what bred the acid attackers of Sonali Mukherjee? or the Ponty Chadha shootout between brothers?

The other question the whole episode brings is how come this happens a lot in US, the best place for education, the most well read, scientist people making great strides reside there, the newest technologies are there for your help, the best government administrative set up, cutting research on psychology, happiness, most self help gurus, best selling wisdom authors. You name whatever the best of society is there, it has a big place in US. Then why does it keep happening there?

The ways of today's life are they on false foundations? Or am I raising just a false alarm, after all genocide in yesteryears in the name of race or killings in the name of religion were equally big and evil.

The end....

Nobody can escape " the end". All ends and it is scary to see life atrophying... to death... I met my maternal granddad (Nana) he is aged in last 2 years, immobile, unable to hear, dependent on everybody else.. waiting. He still has a good mind and is calm, he is in that sense aging gracefully..

I only wish he had learnt some meditation and could practice now peacefully. I feel completely helpless and sorry, just cant do anything in this ordeal for him... I just wish him peace, happiness in this tough phase...

Old age could be so scary, never thought so. Death is not as scary as old age can be.....

It all ends in ashes; If the end is ash,
What  beginnings I make each day?
What is security; power; money?
Is this life just a memory in creation?

this too shall pass.. end... die

so goes the famous saying, this too shall pass. it is meant for the lifes ups and down but if i take this to 30000 feet level.. i shall too pass one day. I will be old and dead.. could be earlier as well...

the thought does not scare me but confuses me.. that- if i will be dead and all this information my brain has been storing, all the HR gyaan i have and me being the greatest ( - ;) so i beleive), climbing corporate ladder at a good pace.. all the experience and hr wisdom i am gaining will be all gone... i will be dead.. will it not be funny my epitaph will read: "Here lies the manager who knew intricacies of HR and business life",

what shit!!! it is like creating a puzzle yourself and feeling good about solving it... all this business is a man made puzzle, there is more to life than this. much more... but the biggest question is what is that more? all people around me are chasing mindless information... someone is a finance whizkid, someone is marketing guru, some other is an automobile engineer, someone is coding, someone is an advertising freak, list goes on... all this has become life...  anyways i dont have the answers, till life answers let me chase HR and chase well else my epitaph will be even worse...: "here lies the manager who spent his life learning intricacies of HR and business but never could" ... this will be worse, defintely

My take on life from perspective of death

It is written in 1st person to make it more personal and more impactful does not mean that all I write here is my own experience.
Why restrain the fun…. I will die anyways one day
I often see people say and that we have only one life and let’s make most out of it. Let’s enjoy to its fullest.
I wonder if it is only one life and with death it will end why we put breaks to the enjoyment and pleasure. Don’t eat that dessert (ah the one which gives you pleasure which nothing else does. It looks, smells, and tastes like heaven). You will put on weight. Get up you lazy you are wasting your time. You tell yourself early afternoon while lying on the bed. Get up and do some work. The pleasures of senses which you just can’t have it unlimited because of values which say - be moderate, learn to be content, plethora of rules of what is right or wrong when it comes to senses. If it is only one life why not have it all? What’s the harm in having all the pleasures before we die?
At the end of day I will die living with all this restraint behavior I may have only 10 -60 minutes of good time each day. Considering on the weekdays it will be not more than 20 minutes (all the stress of work and on weekends it will go up to 2 hours. The average for a week will be 48 minutes. If I will live for 70 years and keep having fun this way I will have 20700 hours of fun. That may sound big but if I have unlimited fun 12 hours a day (assume rest time I sleep and do my necessary chores) I can clock these hours in just 4.7 years I don’t need 70 goddamn years. And the depth of experience needless to say will be higher in 4.7 years. I can have unrestricted fun with drugs, booze and sex. That’s what hippie culture was based on. I love them and their lifestyle.
Why all debates on euthanasia, life when is suffering it will be good to end it. Why all debate on suicide we die any ways one day when don’t want to slog one’s ass to come out of a depression as slogging is pretty boring and tiresome could just have an overdose of a drug which will give you an ecstatic experience, the ultimate nirvana and then could just move on. Why debate on drugs? it gives you a nirvanic experience. Just out of the world pleasure which you can otherwise never have. Why the restrain when death will follow. I should perhaps just maximize my pleasures.
Any answers?
