There you are... Thinking about to do or not to do... I often get stuck in this situation, the two different paths each leading to a different direction and each bringing its own pleasures and pains. which one to take?
Then there is the path you are already walking on, it is so cosy and familiar and its pleasures you are accustomed to.. Which one to take...
Pleasure and pain are part of parcel of all, how do I decide which one I eliminate; do I just take the plunge basis which one will give me a new experience and learning given all other things are equal. Do I take a long term view and decide. Long term sounds good but long term is unpredictable it rests on many IFs and BUTs...
Robert Frost said I took the road one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference...
Was the difference good or bad he did not tell.. To be or not to be...
Robert Frost didn't tell the difference was good or bad .May be 'coz he wanted to encourage people to take less traveled path.
ReplyDeleteBy revealing his own experience he could have marred the curiosity of others Or may be he believed that every experience is matchless. Talkin about his experience is going to be of no use & he wanted the traveler to conclude on his own what difference it made at the end of the day to traveler's life. But yes less traveled road is always risky & more uncertain than a familier one that's why less people prefer opting it. Its like either you may lose everything or may gain everything contrary to familier path where you lose just something & gain just something.
Hmmm so which one you planning to take the risky or tried or tested one...
ReplyDeleteis tried and tested one really bad that Robert Frost wanted to encourage people to take the other road or he did not want traffic & traffic jams on tried and tested one so he was playing a game?
I never thought about taking less traveled road ever BUT my life pushed me towards it. I don't see & mean that tried & tested one is bad.Its meant for normal people but some people are meant to walk on less traveled 'coz they are not normal now the question is why they are not normal. 'coz god doesnt want them to be normal? or they through their own free will choose not to be normal? As far as I am concerned I am trying to find out whether god created such circumstances deliberately in my life or it was my free will... & i have already tried the tested one Walkin on that doesnt give you assurity that everything will be fine. That is my experience.I have nearly lost everything by walkin on this way so dont have much to lose now. Why not to try less traveled this time & Robert frost wasnt playing game for sure :)
